We're going on vacation to Provence. We're arriving in Marseille at 4:30 p.m. and heading to Aix-en-Provence. The taxi drivers are asking for €410! Has anyone booked a transfer in France before? We only have two suitcases. How can we choose a reliable driver without overpaying? This is our first time visiting this country.

I'll tell you how we ended up with a local taxi driver. You'll be shocked! In Marseille, we took a taxi that took us on roundabout routes and tried to sell us "exclusive" wine at an inflated price. But on our last trip, we booked France airport transfers through the GetTransfer website. We got a sedan for €75. Our driver, Jean-Pierre, took the shortest route and recommended the best wineries along the way. The drive took 40 minutes, and the driver said it was the fastest way during rush hour. By the way, I'll tell you upfront that if you like comfort, you should take a transfer with air conditioning. Have you booked a hotel yet? We stayed at the Hôtel Cézanne, which I highly recommend!
