After resigning the previous week, Abby locks the team out of her LA studio. Debbie Allen extends an invitation to the ALDC to work with her, proving that everyone is replaceable including Abby. Special guest choreographer Nakul includes the minis in a difficult Bollywood routine. Kalani and Nia are pushed to their breaking point with an inspired duet while mini Peyton and her mom Kerri struggle with the pressure of two dances. With no leader, the moms fear a disaster is inevitable.

The minis are back for the first time this season and the elites question if Abby can hold true to her promise of new beginnings. Abby challenges the minis with a beauty pageant themed dance where she will crown one mini queen of the routine. The elites perform a tribute to Prince but feel the pressure to do him justice and fear they will fail to win with another tribute dance. To add to the chaos, Abby assigns two duets: JoJo and Brynn vs. Kendall and Nia. When Nia falls ill, Kendall is once again left without a partner.

Abby challenges the minis with their first lyrical routine. The elites are put to the test when their moms make a shocking decision that leaves them without a group dance for competition. Tensions between the teams get physical and the moms give Abby an ultimatum.

Fed up with the ALDC, the elites leave for rival Erin Babbs, blindsiding Abby and the mini team. Abby puts more pressure than ever on the minis in an attempt to defend her kingdom and gives three mini dancers their first solos. Innovative, new choreography challenges the elites, and Kendall and Nia are invited to perform live with a recording artist beloved by ALDC fans.

Tension and animosity is at an all-time high as the elite team faces Abby and her mini team at the first competition ever where Abby is not on the same side as the elites. The elite girls stop at nothing to prove that they can win without Abby as their dance teacher, while Abby tries her best to stay strong and prove her worth on the dance floor with her mini team.

My daughters and I found this episode painful to watch. Not because it was boring or annoying, but because it was hard to see how the moms poo Brynn and what the end result is (or at least how it plays out on camera).

Dance instructor Abby Lee Miller and her team of preteen girls returned Tuesday night for the season six premiere of the hit Lifetime reality show Dance Moms. The series, which takes place primarily at the Abby Lee Dance Company studios, promises to be drama-filled. The season premiere, \"New Season, New Rules,\" did not disappoint on its reputation for melodrama and histrionics.

The episode kicks off with the return of season five guest star Brynn Rumfallo, who may be the replacement for Maddie Ziegler, who did not compete in Tuesday's premiere. Maddie is currently embarking on her film career in New York, much to the dismay of Jojo Siwa's mother. Brynn's appearance is almost immediately contentious, as Brynn is granted a solo dance opportunity.

The Abby Lee Dance Company travels to the Sheer Talent Special Edition Competition in Los Angeles. Abby's dance team faces rival Jeanette Cota and the Broadway Dance Academy, again. The group dance, \"The Girl in the Plastic Bubble,\" features Jojo inside the bubble but she gets stuck and nearly suffocates when the zipper is stuck. JoJo would later receive platinum for her jazz solo \"Own It.\"

The showdown between Abby and Jeanette's dance companies comes down to Brynn and Gavin Morales, the new recruit for Broadway Dance Academy. Despite a strong performance from Gavin, he places second to Brynn.

Siwa was on the hit reality series Dance Moms from Season 4 until Season 6, when she signed a deal with Nickelodeon. In January Siwa reacted to a painful video compilation a fan posted to TikTok of all the times that dance instructor Abby Lee Miller said some hurtful things to her on Dance Moms, the reality show that Siwa appeared on when she was just 9 years old.

\"Dance Moms\" season 6 has finally come to its end after a tumultuous 2016. Recalling the events from first installment of the two-part finale episode, the Junior Elite team along with their moms fled from the ALDC and met with Abby's biggest competition, Erin Babbs. The moms asked the MDP coach to train the team for the upcoming Sheer Talent Competition. Coach Abby was furious and at the same time emotional about such move from the Elite team, and somehow tried to win them back. The moms though are more convinced than ever that it's time they leave Abby and put an end to the emotional torture that their kids are getting just for an hour airtime on TV.

The final episode of \"Dance Moms\" season 6 on Tuesday, Nov. 22 picked up from the scene where the moms and Abby confronted each other on the day of the dance competition. The confrontation became fierce when Abby asked the moms and the kids to make a list of why they hate them, but the moms refused to grant her wish. Nia's mom, Holly, even accused the coach of degrading her students, saying, \"At this point our girls need to leave and not let Abby degrade them anymore.\"

In that instance, Abby was provoked to do what she always does -- praise herself and press down the others. The ALDC owner said the moms along with their daughters would have been stuck in their homes had they not known Abby. The coach then stressed how she was a big catalyst for the stardom that the girls are currently enjoying. Jill then spoke up in defense of the group claiming the same thing, only the other way around. Abby then continued and told the Elite moms that her Minis team is far better than the Elites when they were at that age.

While we saw Abby weeping over losing her team in the first part of the finale, on part 2, she is back to her old self and tried to slap the truth about her worth to the Elite moms. She's using the Minis to bring down the Elites, yet she still found a way to hurt the feelings of her kids.

Before the competition, the Minis went to see the Elites and told them how no one among their moms stood up for them against Abby. The dancers above anyone else, know how it is like to be mistreated by the ALDC coach, and it is not a surprise that even the kids are feeling fed up with her already. The Elites then offer Peyton a slot in their new team which they call Mother Dance Studio.

The solo acts were presented first before the group dances. Elliana, Alexus, and Peyton took the stage for the Minis while Brynn and Kalani represented the Elites. While the Elites soloists did an undeniably stunning act, Abby went bitter over their performance saying she's not even impressed. \"They went to that other teacher, expecting a choreographer that just waves his magic wand and whips them into the ultimate shape in a week. Really I didn't see anything magical,\" said the \"Dance Moms\" coach.

The moment that the moms and Abby had all been waiting for finally arrived. The ALDC coach was all smiles when Elliana got first place for her solo dance, Peyton got second, and Alexus landed third.
