Pharmacokinetic study of a new matrix of orf virus DNA and immunoglobulins in pigs fed with live or killed vaccines.
The present study was aimed to assess the effect of two live or killed vaccines on pharmacokinetics of matrix protein (MP) and immunoglobulins (Ig) in pigs. Eighteen pigs were vaccinated orally by intramuscular route with either live or killed vaccine. Blood samples were collected at various time intervals (0, 2, 4, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h) after vaccination for estimation of MP and Ig concentrations by ELISA and Virus Neutralization Tests respectively.
